Tier 4 Student

Applicants are required to score 40 points under the Points based system in order to qualify. They must be studying at a recognised educational institute that is currently registered with the UK Border Agency for Tier 4.

The recognised sponsor (school/college/university) will where appropriate issue a Certificate of Acceptance to study (CAS) where the course meets with the UK Border Agency specific guidance to recognised education. The issuing of a CAS should qualify the applicant for 30 points.

Maintenance

Applicants are required to demonstrate access to sufficient funds in either their own personal bank accounts, parents personal bank accounts or evidence of sponsorship recognised by UK Border Agency. These funds must have been available for at least 28 days prior to the application and the last date of the bank statement or letter can not be more than 1 month old.
